Halloween!!

Traysen was so cute on Halloween.. He was Tigger! The costume was a bit big for him but he looked so super cute! We all just stayed home and handed out candy. Grandma and Grandpa Sincere came over and hung out with us. It was a fun filled Halloween. He also had a cute little Halloween outfit that he wore the next day.

It's Been Forever!

It has been so long since I have blogged. Being a new mom takes a lot more time and energy than I could have ever imagined. I love being a mom more than anything. It's an amazing feeling to love someone so much. Jason and I have really enjoyed being parents. Traysen is an amazing little guy! He is such a trooper. He'll be 7 weeks on Wednesday. He is growing up so fast I can't believe it. He's starting to smile a lot more and can kick himself up so well. We are so impressed with him everyday!

Traysen Alexander Holland

We finally came up with a baby name! Traysen Alexander Holland! We wanted a unique name, but not one that is hard to pronounce or spell. The first name is just something we came up with. We really like the name Tray and Traysen is sorta a combination of our names (Therese and Jason). His middle name is after my brother Alex. He passed away a few years ago and we wanted our first child to have his name. The name Tray means "three" and he will be the third edition to our little family. Also, if anyone knows Jason they know that he loves the number three. We are so excited that we finally have a name picked out. It makes the pregnancy feel more and more real.

Pregnancy Update!

I wanted to give an update on how the pregnancy is going. Many of you probably already know that we have had some complications, but there is finally some light at the end of the tunnel. We went to the cardiologist yesterday and found out the diagnosis on our little man's heart complications. The doctors say that the heart defect is common and has a success rate of almost 100%. We are going to be delivering him at the University of Utah and he will be cared for at Primary Children's Hospital. He will have to have heart surgery between 4 and 6 months to repair his heart, but the repair is permanent and he will be a perfectly healthy boy afterwards. There is a chance that he will need surgery within the first days of birth, but we won't quite know for a little while. We will be delivering him between 37 & 39 weeks, most likely September 9th. All the doctors and nurses have been amazing and we couldn't ask for better care. We are very blessed to have the technology that we do now so we can be as prepared as possible.

It might sound strange that we are so optomistic about the situation, but 3 months ago our diagnosis was much worse, so we find ourselves blessed to know that everything is going to be okay with our little guy. In our minds, it's just a little set back because in the end we're going to have a beautiful, healthy baby boy!

I want to thank all of you who have shown us so much support. We have the best friends and family and wouldn't have been able to get through this without you guys!

On a happier note, I started to feel him kick about 3 weeks ago and about a week ago Jason could finally feel him. He is quite a kicker! Maybe he'll be a soccer player like his dad! It is the most amazing thing in the world to feel him moving around inside of me. It blows my mind that there is a life inside of me. It's crazy that with all the ailments that come along with being pregnant, we can still feel so happy everytime we feel that little nudge. I have felt him many times, but it doesn't cease to make me smile everytime. Only 17 weeks before we get to meet him!

I thought I would introduce our dog Zoe! She is like our child. She does everything with us. She is half Great Pyranese and half Pit Bull, so don't bring your dog over to our house. She is not very friendly with other animals! She loves people and kids. She is great around everyone. She is 8 years old, which is crazy because I've had her since she was just weeks old. She does the funniest stuff and is always entertaining. We love her!!

First Time Blogger!

I never thought I would be a blogger, but with so much going on in my life I can't help but want to share with my friends. My sister-in-law has been trying to get me to blog for months now and she finally got her wish. You can expect a lot of pictures of our dog, Zoe. She is the highlight of our life. :) You can also expect lots of baby stuff. I'm going to be pregnant for another 23 weeks, so baby pics won't be posted for a while, but when he comes you'll know!
